Our Commitment to Your Privacy
INFORMATION WE COLLECT & HOW WE STORE IT
When you visit our website or make a donation online or offline, you may provide us with personal information (i.e., name, address, email address, telephone numbers and/or credit/debit card information) that you knowingly choose to disclose, which is collected on an individual basis for various purposes. These purposes include registering to receive email newsletters or other materials, requesting further information from us about projects and services, donating to us, making requests, submitting a form on our website, or simply asking a question. We receive and store any information you enter on our website or give us in any other way, whether it is online or offline. We ask for personal information so that we can fulfill your request and return your message. This information is retained and used in accordance with existing laws, rules, regulations, and other policies. The Community Mentoring Team (CMT) does not collect personal information from you unless you provide it to us. We do not rent, trade, or sell our lists of donors.
OUR COMMITMENT TO DATA SECURITY
To help prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect. For example, we secure our machines with mandated encryption protocols to secure our user/company data. We also use industry accepted tools and techniques such as SSL and two-factor authentication to protect against unauthorized access to our systems. Additionally, all sensitive information is stored in secure repositories both in-house as well as secure cloud-based, AES encrypted web apps.
WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE INFORMATION?
We do not trade, share, or sell information that you provide to us with other organizations, which intend to use it only to market their products or services to you. There may be instances in which we share your information with others. We may share your information, for example, in conjunction with your sponsorship of a certain project, as required by law, with law enforcement, to comply with legal process, to protect our legal rights, to protect the safety or security of a person, or to protect against fraud, criminal acts, or misconduct. We may also share your information with companies that provide us with services, or with a successor legal entity.
WHO HAS ACCESS TO INFORMATION?
CMT employees may access information collected about you in order to process your donation and perform other administrative and business functions. Our employees are required to sign a confidentiality agreement that prohibits them from using or disclosing your information to third parties (other than for legitimate campaign purposes) during and after their employment with CMT.
HOW TO ACCESS OR CORRECT YOUR INFORMATION
This website is strictly a communication and on-line donation collection device. Once submitted, your donation information cannot be modified using this site. If you would like to modify the information you previously provided to us, you may do so by contacting our office at 617-840-6928.
